Just to identify where to get a set of inlet manifold gaskets for 272 which have the smaller holes to reduce heat flow around carburetor area and hence stop paint burn off in thsi area.

Would appreciate any assistance by way of supplier or parts No.

Thanks,

The "Best" gaskets 14045 is one way to go - there are others - its the truck gaskets from '63 and '64 that had the smaller holes in them.

Tee-Bird Products have the gaskets you are chasing also. Their part number is 9433A-SP.

They are only $16.50 from them.

If you want to block them completely just cut a thin piece of tin to fit over the hole. Make sure its thin enough not to lift the intake. It will make the car warm up slower on cold days is all. I've even found balls of tinfoil shoved into the heat passages in the head! Chuck
