The Holley List number shows to have been originally from Rambler 250/327. Should work fine if throttle hookup is ok. Make sure to use a blue float bowl gasket, so it can be reused and doesnt stick, if the bowl needs to be removed in the future. Absolutely all of the old gasket material needs to be cleaned off. Dont use a metal tool to assist in this, as the carb will probably get gouges, leading to leaks. After thorough solvent cleaning of disassembled parts, it would be best to immerse them in a gallon of Chem Dip. Since Chem Dip is expensive at $27/ga, an alternative could be to put it all in alcohol. I havent tried this but read it somewhere. Blow all orifices with compressed air, then lots of carb cleaner in can, then compressed air again. If deposits remain in some small orifices, a very small brush used to clean teeth may help. 3 cost around $1. Run the same brush through the jets.
The Holley site should have instructions on the 2300, and they will come in printed form in the new kit.
WEAR GLASSES! A direct shot of carb cleaner in the eye will have you staggering around like a drunken sailor.
