Yah, Seen that POS before. Rare my a$$. Sure went a long way to make it look like a Y-Block, but so many thing point out it is not. First thing that caught my eye was the distributor and Rochesters. Thank god a real Y isn't that hard to start.

I was not really checking when I watched the video. I was puzzling over the 31 Mercury tag. Didn't know they made them that early. The Y-Block was just good dressing. I woke up when they were timing the engine from the wrong side and wrong plug. Darn fakers!

To the uninitiated, it does the trick. Sure raised the value of that engine by putting Mercury covers on it.

Seen it too.
I guess scrub guys are ashamed to admit they have a problem.

Decent car, too bad he put a garbage scrub motor in it. It just kills me that he'd bother to try and pass it off as a Y-Block.
Obviously the belly-button scrub motor is getting a bad rap in the street rod world. Ford in a Ford...Only way to go!

Came across a '35 Ford coupe at a hot rod shop show that had a scrub with Lincoln valve covers. It later showed up in an isuue of R&C or Street Rodder, don't remember which. It fooled a number of people at the show.
