I bought this today.Looking for some info.I assume the brackets that go on the axle should have the flat plate at the bottom. There is a threaded stud on the bracket.Does anyone know what it is for?I think I scored on this for $50.00.Bought it from a fellow who restores these.Took it off a project because it is non-original.

Mark let me know what you find as I am interested in getting a rear anti-swaybar for mine while in the states. I know there is a few out there, Jamco suspensions ?. But I dont want to go to 1" as I have a 1" bar on the front so Im thinking 3/4" would be fine.. Anyone ??!!

Just installed a 1" rear anti sway bar on the 56. Came from Thunderbirds Southwest in LaGrange TX. Installation was easy thanks to a friend with a lift and who can weld. Matches fine with the 1 1/8" front bar I got from them. TC

I did. If I had done both at the same time, it probably would have been a WOW moment. The larger front bar made a big difference and addition of the rear was noticable.
