Is the 56 Lincoln 368 engine the same critter as the 57 Merc 368 engine?

Would the 56 have been considered the same as a 57 "Turnpike Cruiser" ?

its the same but the 57 engine had changes that gave it more power.

I know the 57 mkii 368 came with carter carb and later distributor, but otherwise same engine family. Smile
