Holley 2300 jetting

Found a holley 2300 for my mild 292 but no jets or power valve. Wondering what would be the stock jetting or recommendations to start with? It came off a 57-58 ford 272 the markings are list1379-2 and ECG-B. Anything other specs I should check? I know float level but accel adj etc.

Start with it stock and see how it works. You may want to rebuild it with a kit which will give you float settings etc. Pull the list number and you will find original jet sizes at you local speed shop or on the Holley site.

By the book, the stock main jet size for a List 1379-2A Holley 2V is 48.  That particular carb is indeed listed as being for a 1957 Ford car with a 272 V8.  The earlier in the year 1379-1A carb (also for a 1957 272 V8) shows to have 52 jets so there’s a difference in the air bleeds of those two carbs.  Both 1379 carbs show to have #65 power valves.

Hey guys! I put in 50 jets to start with and seems ok. This holley 350 seems to be cleaner and responds better than the Autolite 2100. Does anyone know what the 2017 on the metering block means.
