For '61-'64, early 2000s crown Victoria's are popular. The whole front suspension comes off as a unit. I think your frame width is the same so it may work.

If you won't do much hauling, then virtually any of the aftermarket setups will work. If you will, then you need something designed for a truck.

Industrial Chassis make a unit, again for '61-'64, which uses oem Dodge Dakota components. But this one is designed specifically to fit '61-'64 frames. this is the route I plan to go eventually. Send them an email, maybe they can set you up with something. I see they're working on a '53-'56 kit now. http://www.industrialchassisinc.com/ The price is not bad. If you do the work your self, you can probably have ifs for under $1500 and most of the replacement parts you will ever need can be had from any parts store.
