Just recieved a set of LaBonney sunvisors for my Victoria. The original owner had the padded type which did not go with the rest of the car. Got the padded ones to pull off the inturnal tubes and the new ones slide on but are loose. No instructions.

Should I slighty oblong the new ones in a vise to make them tight without hurting the new vinyl? Thanks for any help.............JD

Thats what i,d do, the internal metal part usually is a rolled metal strip forming cylinderical sleeve for the pivot shaft to slide into. As long as the is not TOO much slop to start, squeezing it oval should tighten it.Smile

Another way to tighten it is to bend the rod slightly

Thanks for both advices. I checked the diameter of the tube and the shaft on the visor arm and found over .015". I padded my vice to not mark the white vinyl but didn't like the pressure needed to make any change. Went the slight bend way by using 2 long box end wrenchs and all went well. Replacement 2-tone visors look alot better than the painter padded ones that came with the car.....This site has been great..............JD
