Okay, so here's a little problem I didn't anticipate in using the ARP main studs. The nut and washer prevent the seal retainer from reaching the block by about a washer thickness. You have to use the washers, so I either need to hog out the retainer top or use main bolts in this location. I'm ready to start grinding on the retainer to clear the nut, but wanted to get some opinions first. I'm sure someone has encountered this before, but I'm a 1st time stud user and want to make sure it's okay to grind some of the retainer off without comprimising integrity. Rono

Ron, no problem to notch the retainer around the studs.
Just don't remove more than needed.
