I'm going to be selling my 312 and want some info for me and the buyer. The block has ECZ 6015C on it, with ECZ main caps, the heads are ECZ-C with a B intake. I'm thinking somewhere along the line someone mismatched the heads to the block. It came out of a 57 Ford wagon and it had Mercury valve covers on it. The dizzy has FEK-12131-B on the bottom section and FEK12127 on the top with 724 under the FEK-12127. So, I know it's a 312 by the main measurements, any idea what the rest translates to? Thanx, Gary

Not sure what info you are seeking Unsure

The "C" block is usually a 57 model year.

The "C" heads are usually a 56 model year.

I have seen exactly what you have -meaning an original  "C" block with "C" heads.

In my case I believe this configuration came from a 57 Canadian Mercury pickup truck.

The distributor numbers FEK12127 transpose to part number B7A12127D.That is a common 312 dizzy. The 724 on the dizzy would be the date code of manufactor,Feb 1957.

Now my question to you is-has this ever been rebuilt and if your selling it-how much?I may be interested.I am only interested in non-rebuilt engines.

The engine looks like its never been touched, small ridge in the cylinders. As far as selling, that all hinges on my finding a 5 6 0r 7 bird, and I'd have no idea what it's worth. I've got several wanting parts off of it, but I'd much prefer keeping it as a unit.
