I BOUGHT SOME DECALS/STICKERS ON EBAY THAT ARE SUPOSE TO BE ROR 270 HP VALVE COVER DOME: THEY SAY THUNDERBIRD SPECIAL, BUT ARE DIFFERANT THAN THE NORMAL ONES I FOUND. DOES THIS LOOK RIGHT

Can't get the link to work. My understanding is that they are thes same as the 245 HP eingine.

Found them. For some reason they don't look right to me.

I know they look odd. But he keeps insisting they are correct. Most of the 312 HP motors got ordered with finned alloy valve covers so it is hard to say. ;Hope someone chimes in.

I"m aware of two styles of valve cover decals for 1957 and those being offered on eBay are not in the game.

There was no specific 270 H.P. decals offered.Only the white backround with Thunderbird Special V/8 were on all of the 312 engines INCLUDING the blower engines.

292s had the Thunderbird V/8 logo on the black decal.

That guy is selling a non- original decal.
