I had purchased a 51 Willys wagon some time ago with a y-block installed in it. I currently have it parked at a friends house in the country. I believe that it is a 239 but need to get some numbers off of the block to confirm this. The previous owner had bypassed the mechanical fuel pump and installed an electric one. I would like to pull the original pump off and have it rebuilt or replaced. Is there a plate available to cover the block opening while I have the mechanical pump removed or will I have to fab my own? Thanks Dan

There is a plate made for that although I made my own from aluminum. I've also heard that you can use one from a volkswagen but that's not much help, if you can't find that either!
I have an extra aluminum one if you want it, send me a pm with your mailing address.

I have an extra fuel pump block-off plate. You can have it for $5 including shipping. Let me know if you want it. Alan S. Freeman

You can make your own if you have a piece of metal. Take the old pump off, taking car not to tear the gasket. Trace the gasket on the piece of metal, cut it out and drill the holes.
