I just bought a set of Gabriel Gas G63398 in the box. They seem easy to push down, but get better while I pump them. The thing is my KYB seemed a lot harder to activate.
I am wondering if this set of shocks may be Gabriel's my be faulty.
Thanks,
Richard

Well well well.. I had the same problem, I even found they felt different between them. I ran them for some time but went back to the shocks the car came with, I think they may have been a simple monroe gas shock and it has been better. I thought that maybe it was something in the valving but ....? See what Mark says , think his were ok.

Rich, the first set I got were as you described. I didn't think it was correct because they were much easier to compress then my KYB's. I exchanged them for another set and one off them was hard, the other easy.
I got a refund and got another set of KYB Gas-A-Just's.

I would say you both got defective Gabriels. If you notice when you unpacked them there is a wire hoop keeping them from expanding in the box. When that that wire is removed they should expand under gas pressure. All I can say is mine were fine.I guess like anything else these days there are defective ones around.
