We just returned from a trip to Southern Oregon and Northern California.  While in Crescent City, CA, we just happened to be there during the 16th annual "Sea Cruise" car show and other activities.  The show was held in a park, near the beach.  There were several 55-57 T-Birds with Y Blocks, a 57 Ranchero with a late SBC, a 55 Crown Vic and a beautiful yellow 56 F-100, Custom Cab short box with OD.  The owner/restorer, Jim from Coos Bay, Oregon, had a sign that said it had an original 312" motor. (Did they put 312's in 56 F-100's?) The truck had a front cross over pipe and duals coming out the back.  He said the truck was manufactrured late in the model Coolyear in VA.  I gave him the information for this web site and also gave it to a couple of other people.  I had to just write it on some scraps of paper.  I hope they come to and join the site.  There was a nice 55-56 Mercury 4 door HT and a lot of nice cars and trucks.  I guess we should carry some cards or something to pass out, when you see the hoard of Chey's, we need to try to increase our numbers.  A few years ago on a trip to visit our son in VA, we had a similar experience running into a huge car show at Ocean City, MD.  The cruise parade lasted for hours on the boardwalk.

I am going to attempt to attasch a picture of the 56 F-100 I told you about.  I reduced the size so I hope it attaches to this post.  It is painted 57 Ford Inca Gold.
