Rebuilding a 292. But the engine I got came without intake or lifter galler plate or what it's called.

It's from a 1957, so it has the draft tube and filter.

Anyhow the plate and intake I have will come from my -59 292.

So question, two draft tubes ?

Can I plug one or te other ?

Any recommendations would be fine.

The road draft tube and related filter housing on the lower side of the engine block can be removed and blocked off.  You’ll need the oil fill tube at the valley cover for both adding oil to the engine and an inlet air source for an added PCV valve.  PCV valve installations have been discussed in detail on this site and here are just a few links to get you started.

Blocking off the road draft tube

Crankcase evacuation

Finned valley pan and PCV valve installation

Installation of PCV valve into the top of the block

Installation of PCV valve at top and rear of block 2

Modifying valve covers for PCV valve installation

Valley pan PCV valve installation

Valve cover baffle for PCV valve

Why a PCV valve or system?

Thanks for the info.

I guess I can block off the one on the block even if I decide to not using PVC valve on the other tube, just keeping it as is.
