I have a 312 passenger motor and see the dual action fuel pumps for the passenger engines have a different part number than the T Bird unit.I ordered the T bird unit unaware of the different number. Will the T Bird unit work on my engine. I think it might have something to do with the front cover.
Thank you,
Richard

I think the lack of a filter bowl on the bottom of the pump is the only diferance, the T Bird had clearance problems at the front of the engine so the filter was remoted to the top of the manifold by the carb inlet. The arms and mounting are the same.

I don't believe the engine front cover is the difference - maybe the "clocking" of the inlet and outlet fittings? Many versions of these pumps exist.

Y-block and FE fuel pumps are "generally" interchangeable (bolt on the front cover)....I'm running an FE pump on mine (not double-acting).
