Any one know part #s of anything for a fan clutch that bolts onto a y-block? Would like to get rid of the solid fan if possible. It really roars at higher RPMs. I guess a flex fan would be okay too.

Summit or Jegs will have them. You may have to measure your bolt pattern to be certain it'll fit, but I think the patterns are all the same.

A Hayden #2797 will fit the waterpump flange and 5/8 pump shaft OK - slippage reduces speed about 10% when at full "lock-up". The stack height may be a bit much for a sedan however, so get on the Hayden site and check it out against the room you have.

I think I have a clutch & flex fan I took off my engine 292. You can have if you pay the shipping. I'll have to check when I get back to the shop. I am in Ohio.

In 1963 I bought a new Ford fan and clutch assembly from my Ford dealer parts department for my 406. I kept it over all these years and put it on my 57 312. It fit fine, I think the bolts were a little tricky to get in, but it all fits and seems to work OK.
