 hi folks
is there anyone using a pump with the cooling coils. i just got one from a 73 f700 (is there such a beast?) i removed the coils from the can for derusting and a clean up and found the coils were wearing a groove into the can! i suppose its the coils vibrating.
has anyone had a leak due to coils wearing thro? should i insert a teflon strip between coils and can? it probably wouldn't wear thro in my lifetime. looks like a still on the front of the motor.any thoughts please

Howdy,
I would try to bend the tubing so they don't touch.
Otherwise, I would re-plumb it for an outboard cooler (and maybe an inline filter)

i realy want to keep the look of the coils so i prefer your re bending idea. should be better for air flow round the coils as well.its just a pain to do. ho hum.
