I ordered a filter for my 55 Fairlane power steering pump from an on line vendor whom claimed it was an exact exchange for the Eaton OEM filter, well it wasn't. It didn't have any type gaskets on it and they wouldn't refund my money because they said it would work and do what they claimed it would do so I paid double for a filter that I feel won't work but the vendor says it will. The vendor isn't one that anyone has mentioned on this site nor is it one the vendors that specialize in Ford antique parts.
But anyway to save you some money and shipping you can go to your local Wix supplier and ask for #51653 , it is an exact interchange to the OEM filter.
Did I mention the filter was half the size of the OEM filter so how can it filter as much as the OEM filter?

morning MG

I use this site for reference purposes http://www.fleetfilter.com/mm5/merchant.mvc? they do not ship to the UK. i recently purchased a pump with the cooling coils and ordered seals kit from MACs, measured the ID OD and HT of the filter identified it on the above site and ordered from Amazon (51418 but mine is a later pump so the part numbers won't be the same).

been trying to get cam and rotor kit for the pump and thought i'd found one inthe UK,when it turned up it was 2 tenths thinner than the one in my pump(identical in all other details) now trying to get my money back! begs the question if the cam kits are not available how do people sell rebuilt/remanufactured pumps?
