Trying to find the correct engine color for my 1960 Sunliner 292 engine.
It's been an orange color since I got it, looks like that was painted over a red.
Thanks!

This question has been asked before & frankly I don't recall ever seeing a definative spec answer. One of the popular spray can reds is advertised as Thunderbird Red, but is it, I don't know? Some of the engine reds seem to turn somewhat orange after being heated a few times, so? Good luck on that one..

Thanks, appreciate the info. Looking at pix on other websites red seems to be the prevailing color, but haven't found anyone with a listing for ford red engine paint.

The Classic Thunderbird club and the Crown Victoria club likes the HI-TECH engine coating EN-44 Ford/Chrysler Red. My local parts store carry it in a spray can or you can order a can from Branden Enterprises p.o. box 511 Trevose, Pa. 19053-0511
