Does anyone know if the 57 truck motors had the later style 2 bbl or did they come with the older style,there is a 57 truck in a local junkyard that I was thinking about seeing what heads it has on it but its got the old 94 style carb. That same yard has trucks with car motors so I was not sure if it could be original.

I think I have seen where the '57 trucks got the older carbs. Whatever the case may be, if it's only heads you're after, look anyway. After 56 years, any head could be installed.

I think the 57 trucks used up all the older style carbs and distributors so they didnt go to waste and 58 trucks got the newer setups. However there may be some late model 57's that got the later stuff after they run out of the older stuff but I have never seen one with it from the factory.

I wonder if its the same with the heads and the trucks got all the left over 56 heads.
