Hello, What size are the studs that hold the exhaust manifold to the heads on a 1955 272 engine thanks

Hello, What size are the studs that hold the exhaust manifold to the heads on a 1955 272 engine thanks

They are normally bolts, approx 3/8" BSW X 1" long will do the job,

The Bolts are 3/8 " and grade #8

Wouldn't they be UNC? I've never come across BSW on an American motor.
