Part number/manufacturer and where to buy a gasket for a stock 1956 Ford 292 v-8 Fairlane air cleaner. This is the 5 or 5-1/8 inch diameter gasket between the carb and air cleaner.

Thanks,

Danny

I got my gasket from Concours or Macs I can't remember which...I don't see it listed but you could probably give any of the Ford parts places a call and they probably have them. I have since quit using one...don't remember why I did but have been going without....I really don't know if it necessary...maybe someone here can answer that.

I got mine at Tee-Bird.They also have the "gasket" that goes on the lid to seal against the main body of the Aircleaner.I was surprised to find out that there were more than one manufacturer who made the 4 BBL Aircleaners for Ford. That's why some have the bar on the intake hole vertical and some are horizontal. There are some slight differences in diameter of the lid so you may need the diameter of the lid to order correct gasket and also the diameter of the opening that goes on the carb..
