Hi, I have a 1955 Failane ( Victoria ). It has a 272cu in. I want to rebuild the carburator. On the bowl, one side says Ford, the other side says EBU. Is this the correct carburator fot this car?

Hmmm... I THINK EBU makes it a '54 carburetor produced by Ford.

Look above the idle adjusting screws on the carburetor body.

I THINK the '55 carburetor will have the number '1 1/16' which is the venturi size.

I THINK a '54 carburetor will have the number '1', again the venturi size.

I THINK a '55 272 engine with Ford produced carburetor would have the letters ECG-5 instead of EBU

Somethings we aren't as sure about as we would like to be... Hehe
