Hi everyone,
I recently redid a few things on my 292, and one of those things was replace the radiator. With that, I expected my temperature gauge to come down, but it still pegs itself in the hot zone. Now, I have a new temperature send, rebuilt water pump, new aluminum radiator and even replaced the constant voltage regulator. In the process of purging my system of air, I put a temperature probe in the radiator and here's what I get:
(168 degrees fahrenheit)

This was taken when the temperature gauge was completely pegged.

Well your gauge is stuffed then.. 170 -190 running hot is a pretty good range.

That's what I needed to hear. I'll have to go on the hunt for an NOS gauge. In the meantime, I guess I'll have to get a aftermarket one.
