Guys can someone give me the heads up on removing the rear quarter side trim on my townie. It should be going into the restoration guy late this week to have the panel work done and if I can tell him how to remove the trim might save a bit of time so he can focus on the panel beating..

Looks like he is removing the rear window too!

Is it not mostly accessible from inside the trunk?

Some is , to be honest I haven't had a real good look it was pointed out to me by someone who said "oh the hardest thing will be removing the trim" I assumed there might be a trick...? Does it clip off or undo the bolts on the inside.. Might mean there is a hidden bolt?

On my Customline there was both types of trim clips. Look on the inside first and feel under any tar patches for the small nuts. On my Customline I used plastic door trim removal tools to pry the trim up from the bottom if I remember right. My Customline had rectangular trim clips that fit into square holes, but the trim in your Town Sedan is wider so the clips will probably be a different shape. Take pictures of the clips after you get the trim off but before you remove the clips to do the body work. There may be several different sizes and shapes of clips and you have to get them back in the correct holes.

When I replaced my 1/4 side trim with better ones the clips were held on with nuts accessible from inside trunk. The very front one is a bit of a "B" to get to.Unless someone has replaced the clips they should be held on with nuts.

The taillite end has nut on inside to undo, the rest of side trim has snap over clips, easing up one edge will see trim pop off unless changed over the yrs, the person doing it should check inside 1st. The forward end of trim also has snap on clip.
