Welcome to the site Todd.The 312 crankshaft goes into the 292 block by just turning the mains down to the 292 size. Your block already being at 0.060” is typically not a problem for the 292’s but not all blocks can go larger than this. Cylinder wall thickness varies considerably on the different blocks so where some are only okay at 0.060” over, there are a limited number of others that will actually bore out to 4.000” with metal to spare. Having your block(s) sonic tested will let you know exactly what is available in the cylinder walls in regards to thickness.
