I received the Legendary Ford Magazine and as I took it into my library to read it (my bathroom) it turned out that it was the same issue I recieved last time.

Did this happen to anyone else? Did they not get a new issue out? or do they know I am getting senile and need to review it again.

Y'all are lucky.

I got my first issue and have not received another.  Glad to see this post to remind me .  Just retrieved that only issue and it is December 2005.  Did not realize it had been so long.  Guess I'll drop 'em a line, now.

Also, been a while since seeing a Y Block mag.

I'm still waiting for the current "Legendary Fords". Anyone else that didn't get theirs? Chuck

Ater subscribing to this magazine last year,I received 1 issue(DEC 2005),and have'nt gotten any since.I have assumed they were defunct.
By MoonShadow - 19 Years Ago
Actually you should have received several issues this year. Check with them. Not sure whats happening right now though. Chuck

Email to Ledgendary Ford came back undeliverable.  If Mag is not defunct, maybe it is their subscription list that is defunct.  Did not have any problem taking my subscription money tho.

Really enjoyed the Dec 2005 edition - 7 or 8 times.

I talked to Dianne at Legendary Ford today. The September/October issue is just hitting the mail. It was a little late for some reason. She assured me that they are still in business and well! Please call her at 888-857-7772  or EMAIL them about your problems. Chuck

I emailed and it came back undeliverable.  Not a typo, copy/paste from web site.

Will try to call but don't see any reason to renew.  1 delivery in a year makes it damned expensive.

I called LFM's listed phone number and left a message and Dianne called the following day saying that they were having production problems but they expected to be shipping the issues by end of the month.  I can relate to production problems and I'm going to stick with them as it's still good reading material compared to some of the other mainstream magazines out there.  My hat is off to anyone that can keep to any 'semblance of a schedule when you have to rely on outside resources.

I have been getting all my issues since I signed up over 3 years ago, I also pass it on to l friends but they must return it when they are done with. It's one of my favorite publications. Love the way it is put together and the all color pictures and articles are great.

My 2 cents. Gerry

Hey guys, I am not sure what is going on with LFM, have been in conversations with Colin and they are NOT defunct.  If you are having issues with subscriptions, shoot Dianne (Office Mgr) an e-mail directly at dianne@legendaryfordmagazine.com I have sent an e-mail to both of them with a link to this thread so that they will be aware of what is going on.  You can also call them at 1-800-857-7772  If they are not aware that you are having a problem, then you can bet that they won't be able to fix it!

My understanding is that they not do the mailings, that is done from the printer in Colorado.  My guess is that the problem lies there, not in Oregon (Colin's and Dianne's home).

Tom,  did you get your subscription issues resolved?  I would expect that a phone call will get any missing issues sent to your door (providing a neighbor isn't hoarding them).

By Y block Billy - 19 Years Ago
I emailed them and told them about recieving the same issue as the last and they replied that they would send me the current issue. I just got back from the UK and it has not arrived yet, so I am eagerly waiting.

As an update to Tom's dilemma, I received e-mail from Dianne Date and it seems that Tom moved last year and LFM had no record of that move. The Post Office does not necessarily forward magazines and periodicals so most likely they went into file 13 as undeliverable.  He is being sent all back issues that he missed (they are being sent out today) so Tom, please let us know when you receive them.  I still totally stand behind LRM as a class act and had no doubt that if they were made aware of the problem, that they would resolve it immediately.  If any of you have any problems with subscription delivery, PLEASE contact LFM immediately!  This will avoid problems that end up causing hard feelings.  The phone number listed on the front of the site does work (I call them), and Dianne's e-mail (as well as Colin's) are active and work.

Are there any plans to put LFM on the newstand? I have never seen a copy. - - guess I will just have to subscribe. Sounds like a good Christmas present for my dad.

I did receive an email stating some of the back issues are being sent to the new address.  They had the same whine that the PO doesn't forward magazines.

Jim, I did not get anything between December 2005 and July 2006 when I moved. AND, I have received other magazines that were forwarded.  I know the Post Office is sorry but I don't see blaming this one all on them.

I received my 1st issue yesterday,[11-6-06]. New subscriber. Great article by Bob on Expo. Neat to see your vehicles in print. Dennis

Ok, this is the last I am gonna say on this subject.  Why did you just now raise the issue?  You have seen the blurb on the front page of the site with their phone # for going on two years and this flag should have been raised a long time ago.  In my humble opinion, they could not respond to a problem that they didn't know about.  Did you call the # shown on the front page of the site?  I have called it several times (not with problems) and have always either gotten a live body or been able to leave a voice mail which always gets me a call or e-mail back very quickly.

I removed one advertiser from the Links section because he was totally non responsive to problems with his product after repeated e-mails.  If I felt that Colin was unresponsive then I wouldn't be pro LFM.  The fact that Dianne DID respond immediately when she was informed that there was a problem is a very good indication that had this been addressed many months ago, hard feelings would have been avoided.

I hope that you have your back issues by the weekend and that you don't just toss them aside.  It is a good publication and they give VERY preferrential treatment to the Y-Block folks.  Many of you that read this may not realize that the ad space for this site in each issue of the magazine is donated by Colin and Dianne!  I create the ad, but they give us the place to showcase it. That ad space is worth a lot of money that they are giving up just because they think that we have the neatest folks around.  I would hope that after this settles down that they will continue to think as highly of each of the people here as I do.

Having said all that, You guys are the best!  I am privileged to get to be the housekeeper for what has become the crossroads for Y-Blockers all over the planet.  Let's keep it going!

Good communications is the key to lot of things in life!

Tom,

If you want to be upset, I guess there's no way to stop you. All I can tell you is that your experience is NOT typical in dealing with Colin. He's been extermely gracious and cooperative in all my dealings with him. I'd bet the farm that they did not intentionally rip you off. The group of folks that are on this site and other Ford sites is a small group. Somebody cheats, lies or whatever, and everyone else knows it in ten minutes. Work with them, and you'll not be sorry.

Jim says it is the last he is going to say and then ask questions.  No response is wanted?  Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up?  Read ALL of this and learn I emailed LFM using address on their site and it came back undeliverable.  I don't call because most places are not open when I am off and even if I wanted to call on company time, I get too busy to remember.  As I told LFM on the email address Jim supplied, I updated magazines when forwarded issues were received.  Yes, USPS forwarded magazines.  ALL?  Dunno.

Frank says I am mad.  READ the whole thing.  I am not mad.  Mever was.  Disappointed but not mad.  All I did was respond to another post mentioning he had not received delivery.  I carried that Dec 2005 issue around for 8-9 months to shows, cruises and club meetings and showed it to anybody who would sit still.  Is that mad?

OK, you know 'em and you stand up for 'em.  Nobody is perfect and I do like the one product received.  Will read the rest.

I hope nobody got me wrong when I started this post. I love LFM it is the greatest mag out there (along side of the Y block mag of coarse)

I did recieve my updated issue last night and spent a whole hour in the library reading it this morning.

I have recieved every issue for the past year and a half faithfully and was extremely excited to read the new one and found it a repeat. I emailed, they responded, I recieved my updated issue, I am happier than a pig in S#*t. No complaints here.
