i read on gill's garage the other day not to put gaskett's under the distributor as it can cause it to get damaged & if you hear it squeek it's to late i found another almost catastrophic problem i had a rubber tapered ring that was in an engine gaskett kit under my dissy i was going to pull it out this saturday but the other morning going to work stuck in school traffic my oil pressure light came on i went to work  on a whim i pulled the dissy removed the oil pump drive shaft to see if it broke it hadnt took the gaskett of the dissy put it back in fired her up i had oil pressure i put a pressure gauge on & had 45psi at idle 60 at revs so hopefully my engine is ok its not making any noises & start's & runs fine i might have been lucky if any of you guys have a gaskett on your dissy get rid of it as soon as possible. moz.
