Something is amiss with that delivery.
I just received a large carton from Martinsville USA which contained a pair or fender skirts for my TBird so you can see it is not a small package.
It was shipped by USPS on Priority on 23rd Feb for a cost of $98.95 and arrived here in Australia this morning delivered by Australia Post.
The Customs declaration from the sender just says "Automobile Fender Skirt"
Package hasn't been opened and there were no issues with it getting here at all

Gary, what you describe is pretty normal and glad you got them ok. I think theres more to the story on the buyers end , all that xray stuff is ok but millions of car parts are posted worldwide, summit etc so dont think thats the problem.      could it be the address was not clear and they just returned to sender ?

I was thinking that that despite you not being able to smell the gas some may have been present setting off the "alarm bells" however if they thought it was dangerous why send it back ...??? Even if you do get through to customs [as I have in the past] you really end up speaking to someone on a computer , they will say yes its here, and sorry I cant help you further than that ..Pfft!  I had a set of special wire twisting pliers sent, harmless, yet ended up in customs for weeks on end.. A lady walked up my driveway saying I think this package might be yours  ,of course on top of the delay they sent it to the wrong address and it arrived a day late for what I needed it for ..Great!
Its amazing how sensitive those machines can be at picking up drugs , fumes, explosives etc.. Just ask me I got detained at the Long Beach Airport... Well I got worried when after several inspections they invited me into the small room ..  ; o 0

The customs form was filled out clearly and with a complete description of the contents,if it hadn't been they couldn't have notified him they were returning the package. This is the 4th shipment
that I have sent to him and is the first to be returned.  Carl
