can anyone tell what thermostat they are using on their 292 engines??
I pulled my thermostat housing off while freshening up the engine and noticed that it didnt have one in there
are people just using what ever fits or what.

What will work for you may depend on where you live (climate) & if you have an early T-Bird. They seem to generate the most enquires re running to hot. Obviously, running without a thermostat isn't recommended. One of the cures for running to hot involves using a Mopar big block thermostat..You should be able to find details in a search here..

NAPA # 6 (Wide mouth, 170 degree Mr Gasket 4367 for Mopar. Wide mouth, 180 degree, I think
