I use Motorcraft Custom Bright Metal Cleaner from the ford dealership and it works great! Works well in removing miner rust blemishes just starting to form but doesn't have a good foot hold thru the chrome.

They probably are pretty much the same but remember, always test in an inconspicuous area before going to town on something.

I have a bottle of Meguiars Mirror Glaze Professional Swirl Remover 2.0 that I've been using for chrome and aluminum at work. On a scale from 0 (light cut) to 10 (heavy cut) it is a 9.  It's for paint but works great on chrome and aluminum.
