I am installing a set of FAP headers in my 55 Bird. I have a small problem. When I install (or try to)the stabilizer rod the rod mount at the bottom on the frame the rod comes up the middle of the header between the middle 2 tubes, the top mount  is on the drivers side is between the back 2 tubes at the top  They wont line up. Passenger sude top mount is welded between the first 2 tubes. They wont line up. I contacted FAP and they are clueless only that they say they haven't had any problems with them in over 6 years. They dont say how to over come this. So, I come to the well once again for help. I am stumped for now. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Earl in NC

Glad you figured it out as I’m aware of the stabilizer piece you mention but have had no hands on experience in putting them on.

Ted,They lean to one side or the other and are confusing without instructions and FAP was no help at all. Once you get the lean figured out they go in ok.
