Thanks for  the help about the STP in the steering gear. I check mine yesterday and it seems a little low. My question now is should it be completely drained  or should I just
add STP or gear lube to what is already in it. It looked be be clean.

I don't see how it could hurt anything. STP is formulated to mix with oil. The box may still leak a little because the mix won't be as thick as pure STP.
