Howdy all!

This question probably gets asked frequently, but can anyone tell me what after market  DUAL-GROOVE water pump pulley works with Y-blocks?

Some water pumps have a 0.625"  (5/8") shaft and others probably mostly truck pumps, (mine) has a 0.750" (3/4") shaft.

I have a dual groove OE damper and I want to use dual V-belts with the A/C pump and 100A Alternator.

Summit Racing has a couple of pulleys that are supposed to be used with 289/302/351 engines.   They don't offer dimensions (offset, pilot shaft dia etc).    I don't want to buy one and have to send it back!

Anyone?

Thanks!

Rick

E-mail or call the Summit tech department to get dimensions.  I don't think you will find anything that is a direct bolt on, but you might find a 5/8" shaft pulley that can be opened to 3/4, and spaced out to line up with your damper.

Autospecialties can make a pulley for you if you specify dimensions.

The bolt pattern is pretty common.  Your main concerns will be the offset, and groove spacing.

Howdy Charlie,

Yeah.  I noticed that most water pump pulleys (Y-block too)  have a 1.75" bolt circle.  Seems to be pretty "standard"

It also appears that there might be a "standard" offset for "short" shaft pumps (and long shaft too)

Mine appears to be 2 1/4" offset.

Ahh well, Summit tech "support" was NOT very supportive on dimensions.
