Thanks, I was not sure of the spec's on your cam. I am also gathering parts for my 312 build, and have not made a cam selection.

30coup, at the moment the car is stock. 272 2bbl, fordo, 6v +ground. I will be retiring in about 1 1/2 yrs and that's when I will be hotrodin her. She will will have a T5. No, you are correct, the fordo will not work with the engine goin in her. I am and will be on a pretty strict budget for the build so I am collecting parts and pieces as I can find and afford them. Rowen, does your car have an automatic, or stick. just wondering how your cam will work with an automatic. If you have an automatic, are you changing to a different ( high stall ) torque converter? Just trying to get a feel for how that cam may work with an automatic trans. .

If they're flat tops you're golden.

Stuey, those ebay ones you posted are for sure the ones i'd need? i'd rather replace both manifolds and have a matching set than just the drivers side and cap off the front of the passenger side.

There are two styles of factory duals, 55-56 and '57-up(flat tops). Both types dump to the rear of the engine but the '57s flow a little better. Both are much better than the single exhaust with crossover pipe. One solution is to eliminate the crossover, cap your passenger side manifold at the front and add a rear dump manifold for the drivers side. If you want to go that way, I have a single driver's side rear dump for the 55-56 that I would sell. If you're interested, email me me at roadqwesty914@comcast.net. Good luck with your 292, you're going to love it.

I'm pretty sure ram horns won't work in the passenger cars. There's always a set of manifolds on ebay. Also post a want ad in the classifieds. I bought mine from a member here that way.

cap the manifold on pass side wher crosover comes .then buy 1 drivers sid manifold for 55-56 and it will flow plentey for 292.the later drivers side(57)will fit but is a bit tight and costs a bunch more for little hp gain. so unless you ar going racing stay stock.the pas side manifold is quite eficent when handeling 4cylenders. on my 292 in 48f47 pickup i used pas sid manifold on driver side so i could clear oilfilter as well as fire wall with a nice smothe ark. used a big truck rans horn on pas side. (i know i am cheap but it looks ok and will work well)
