What I am doing guys is putting a 312 into a '46 Mercury coupe. It has a 5 speed mated to the flathead with an adapter from Cornhuskers. I want keep my original clutch pedal and linkage, so I plan to use the y block adapter to mate to the Cornhuskers set up. Will work like the truck "half bell" bell housing ring on the F1. Hope I haven't confused anyone. Butch
