My '56 didn't come stock with the interior sunvisor & padded dash options; I just found some half decent sunvisors on Epay - they have a 3 screw mounting bracket. The windshield trim piece on my car isn't pre-drilled for the visors. Do I use one of the upper existing screw holes as one of the connection points & just drill two more holes or do I need to drill all three mounting holes ?

Can someone post or send me a picture of their interior sunvisor mounting ? I'm a very visual person. Thanks

Do you just have a cover plate over where they would mount now?  Can you snap a pic of what is there now?  Based on whats in my car, Im not sure how you could not have visors without some sort of gap plate or similar?

One thing to keep in mind is that not all brackets are interchangeable.  I know that convertible brackets are unique, and I think that crowns are as well, but not sure on interchangeability.....I do know that brackets and Im pretty sure padded visors are now avail repro as well, although the visors are only avail in white and need to be dyed.

Steve,

The visors don't mount to the trim. They mount to the roof itself. There are three holes for selftapping screws directly above the trim.Whoever installed your headliner neglected to mark the location of the holes. You can probably find find them by pressing with your fingers. They mount with the point of the triangle(the single screw hole) pointed down and the two holes on top are just about horizontal.Maybe someone with a 55 or 56 can post a picture on here so you can get a better idea about where to find the holes.
