Sorry - need guidance again.

I was told the '56 Bumper Jack has a long oval cutout in the base. Is the '56 bumper jack the same as the model used for the '54 ? Also - is the jack for a '56 Merc the same as the '56 Fairlane ?

I need a jack - found one for the '56 at Carlisle but they wanted $175 for it & it was pretty rough. Found the two above - great shape & a lot cheaper.

there is 5 different jacks that was used in 55 56 fords.the one you probably seen at carlisle is a type #1 .not sure if merc. jack are the same.   Carl  ohio
