Hey everyone, I have decided I will be at Columbus, but not untill Saturday morning. At this time I plan on bringing the same old black 56 f100, but that could change if I dont have time to get it ready. My red 56 is always ready, maybe not for racing but for show.

I currently have on my trailer the front half of a F-800 fire truck with 33,000 original miles. I have not "done" anything to it and I dont know if it will run. It has the 4 V intake and one good ram horn manifold (these only fit lincoln Y's) The block has been repainted from yellow to blue so I can only assume it has had some work done to it in the past. Is anyone interested in the complete engine? I can bring with me to columbus. Scrap is high but I'd take $175.00 for the engine

Let me know,

Kevin

Kevin.  It's great to hear that you are going to make it to Columbus.  If you end up junking the fire truck engine, I’d be interested in the valve covers and the rocker arm assemblies.  Do you know what year it is?

Kevin. I would give you $175 for the engine. Be helpful if it was drained of oil and the heads and intake off to make hauling easier.

I feel terrible! I've been having computer problems and on Friday I scrapped the truck. My friend "Jr" was helping me and said,  " You had a post from Ted about the valve covers and rockers" So we pulled them off. This is where it gets ugly! The engine was spotless inside! So I looked at Jr and said now what, he says lets see if it turns over and it didnt it was froze. I never saw the post from royce or the last one about the bell housing. Its now headded to china for scrap! I wish I'd have checked the posts and I'm very sorry to all that I didnt check sooner.

I have a 4 year old son who has a developement disability and finding time to do anything is a real challenge for me or my wife. I had help and a few hours and away it went. I was worried if I didnt get it off the trailer I would not be able to come to Columbus.

I have the truck as ready as I can and I will be leaving Akron Ohio at 11:30 PM (yes midnight) after work and driving down and sleeping somewhere along the way. I will be there at sun up SATURDAY. If I win rounds I'll be staying around but once I'm out I really have to get home to help with my son.

See ya there,

Kevin
