I'll be leaving Manchester, NH about 10AM Wednesday for Columbus. The Vicky will be on a trailer again.
I will stop the first night in Western PA. near Brookville, and head on to Columbus Thursday AM.
I take I-84 to I-81 at Scranton, PA. then down to I-80 and across through Akron (I-79/I-76)(so I can stop at Summit Racing). Then down I-77 to I-70 at Georgetown, OH. If you want to contact me along the way my Cel number is (603) 867-5301. Chuck in NH

Y's guys rule!
Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

hi Chuck, we are also leaving wed morning about 10 am.

we'll see if that really happens!

I'll be coming with the Alix bro. Ralph & Sam. We are bringing their 56 Fairlane dragcar, junkyardog, guaranteed not to be the prettiest one there.

Still remains to be seen if I'll be driving the bird with new stroker & AOD. Still wrenchin' on it! I've driven it-but not enough to say it goes for sure!

But, I'll be there anyway.

Here's our route in case anyone wants know.

Awesome Al! Glad you are gonna make it! Ted, Randy and I will be going as far as Indy and then detouring to Cinci to drop off a motor. We should be at the track by noon Thursday.

Alan,

Try NOT to hit Indy at Rush hour. Lotsa road construction, also get gas in Mo, cause it's 30 cents higher in Illinois and Indiana.

Thanks for the tips Frank. I hope we can be that tactical! I'm still fixing a pesky leak and rounding up last to do's on my rig. Even though I have got a tremendous amount of stuff done,

it's still a big question mark for the trip. Unsure

Today's the day!

Al:

Hang in there and good luck.  Remember how many helping hands you'll find at Columbus if something slips by you unnoticed.  And the time you spent helping your Dad will never be regretted, even if it keeps you from making Columbus.

Well guys believe me I tried. I just couldn't tie up enough loose ends by today to feel comfortable driving it up there. I did get it out on the expressway and it felt good and I can tell its going to cruise nicely in fact the rear gear maybe to high. The speedo gear is off so when all those around me had to be doing 70ish I was at 85. The good news is it was justa hair over 2000 rpm. So its not workin hard at all.

See you in Columbus. I'll be the guy on foot.Wink
