Those rockers will work, get 1956 or older adjusters (lock nut type), use factory Ford push rods, do not buy aftermarket rocker parts there all made in the same place, you may want to use Ford Fe or inline six adjusters (non lock nut) yes they will work.
PS Do not use blue head gaskets (water leaks down the sides of the block)

I used these guys when I rebuilt the top end on my '55 Merc engine. Great work and and quick turn around. http://www.rockerarms.com/

hi darrel ,,, yes i agree but i want something to be a good fit on the new shafts and used ones will be sloppy.i have tried macs and they make new arms with adjusters but of course there are none on the shelf and do not know when new stock will be made.i have toyed with the idea of using old arms and machine out the bore a few thou and inserting bronze sleeves,,but this is still in the thinking stage..thanks form your input..(yes that oil will be changed!)

Maybe pricey but contact Manton Pushrods in Lake Elsinore California. They make pushrods and adjusting screws and list the material. under adjusting screws they show diameter of the ball and threads on their website…. A few years ago I was advised to get the socket style adjuster and push rods without the cup style for my racing GMC 6 custom roller rockers but didn’t.
