Looking for a clutch release rod and equalizer bar for a 57 custom. 
Removed mine while replacing the steering box, and found some heavy wear in the hole end of the rod and the corresponding pin on the equalizer bar.
I imagine at this point they've all got some degree of wear at these locations, but if anyone has a set in better shape than those pictured here let me know.

Weld both of them up and grid/polish the weld back to original shape.  Will last a lifetime.  Weld is harder than original.  Joe-JDC

That thought had crossed my mind. If I'd ever learned to weld I probably would've gone that route already.
It's tough to see in the pics, but it looks like the rod had been repaired that way already at some point. I suspect that accounts for the deep wear on the pin, which does not appear to have ever been welded.
If no suitable parts turn up I will probably find someone to do exactly what you suggest.

Marc, visit Dennis Carpenter's web site and under Ford truck clutch parts,  there are many push/pull rods along with some nylon bushings etc etc..  This may not be exact plug and play but could provide some ideas to a solution for your clutch linkage issues?

This may be  a long shot, but a guy I know has a lot of 57 Bird parts and may have one of these that will work.  .  Since you have the  length you could talk to him to see if the bird is the same length or longer.  he is a straight up guy.  His name is Adrian Lori, and his number is 570-709-0823

I know the rod is the same as used on the t-birds, but the equalizer bar is different. 
Fortunately I did find a local guy who could weld mine and get them back to spec. At this point I think this will be the best way to go. 

You can make one up with a heim joint and 3/8 threaded rod.
