Hello all,I am looking for feedback on the vent window rubber seal kit made by Dennis Carpenter for 55-56 Fords.This is the triangle shaped rubber around the vent window.Glass seals against it when closed.Anybody have any positive or negative experience with this item.Does anyone else make one that is better?Thanks Mark

  

Dennis makes good stuff. I have bought a lot of rubber from him over the years. I dont think you can go wrong. You may want to check with Steele Rubber Products and Macs Auto parts. They make good parts as well. It would be a cost issue . Earl in NC

When it comes to rubber products, DC is the only way to go!  I learned the hard way with my 62 Ford Pickup.  I tired a "cheaper" alternative brand for door seals.  The extrusions were so bad and so oversized that the doors wouldn't even close.  A few fine folks on the "Slick 60s" forum sent me to DC...problem solved!  I've since used their stuff for both of my '55s.

I have a set of his vent window seals on my car and they fit and seal fine.They are now about three years old and are still pliable.
