Ineed a part number for the seal at the pitman arm. Took the steering box apart and would like to replace the seal no numbers on it that I can see, and the local auto part stores only go back to 1972 or something like that They all say "get me a part number and they can get the seal" Thanks for the help. Gerry

Check the NAPA website and see if they list a number for the seal. If they have it you can either send for it via the web site or take the number to the local NAPA store. I took a look at the NAPA website and found a pitman arm shaft seal for a 54 Ford(picture in your question). Cost less than 10.00. (says power steering but it may be the same). Part # NOS 11081
54 Victoria 312; 48 Ford Conv 302, 56 Bird 312 Forever Ford Midland Park, NJ
