I have a friend that has replaced his intake, carb and distributor (non Tach) in his 56 Bird. He does not want to pay for a 57 TBird distributor (tach drive). He wants to put in an electric tach in place of the mechanical one. Any one have a recommendation on something that will fit into the original tach pod in the dash?

Hey Paul;   I got a tach from Casco which has a tach and vac. guage combo. Fits great and works very good.  Good luck  God Bless     Eddie
