Gee Tim, We must have been friends in another life! I bought a 66 GTA convertible new on returning from a tour in England. Was the Hi-Po version 390. I changed the rearend to 4:11's and added some bolt on traction bars. Boy was that another fun car that should have been a keeper. Thats what I traded for the Cobra I mentioned before. Been mostly a Ford guy for a long, loong, looong time! Chuck in NH
Y's guys rule! Looking for McCullouch VS57 brackets and parts. Also looking for 28 Chrysler series 72 parts. And early Hemi parts.

Been mostly a Ford guy for a long, loong, looong time! Chuck in NH That one I bought for $500 with two blown head gaskets. I built the engine mostly stock (TQ-20 Erson cam) with a single Motorcraft four barrel. Then I found a factory Ford six pack off a 406 at the swapmeet for $150 complete with linkage and air cleaner. I ran the piss out of it for three years then sold it for $1600 to put down on an HD Sportster. I wish I would have kept the car.

John. Sounds like you had an excellent day at the track. At least you waited until the temperatures warmed up. I had my roadster at North Star Dragway earlier this year and with a 20°F chill factor, it was not as much fun as it could have been. And took awhile to get heat into the engine to boot.Congrats on making it to the final.
