can someone help me identify what this is for ?  I have a 272 from a 56 f100. It has a hollow stud coming out of each valve cover  that connects to the rocker shaft . With the valve covers in place , an oil line connects each of the two studs and then connects to a fitting at the oil pressure switch . Is it an overflow ? is it a bypass? im confused !

It's an aftermarket external oiling system designed to oil the rocker arms when the engines internal oiling system became clogged with crud and no longer provided oil to the rockers.
