Hey Guys,



I am not a Vet and sometimes feel a little ashamed that I did not join the USAF at 18 as I had once planned, but I look up to this MAN here who joined the USN in Jan 1942.







He is My Father and I am very proud of him, he taught me a lot about life and what it means to be a human being. So to all the guys on this site, and beyond, that did serve to keep our Country and the rest of the world free I say THANK YOU! and God Bless you All!

We have the Admiral Nimitz Navel museum here in Fredericksburg. I think schools should make it a requirement for every student to see it. One of the highlights of my life was seeing Admiral Nimitz in person about 60 years ago. I still have 3 WWII veterans working for me. They all agree that that war was the last one that we won. I hope our country never loses its respect for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom as well as those who returned to enjoy the freedom they won.

I was Viet Nam-bypassed by the grace of God.  My lottery number was 314 and I always maintained a !-A status (even took an Army physical at Fort Wayne in Detroit).  Many of my relatives served proudly, and I would have too.  Our freedom was secured by those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

God Bless our troops, and God Bless every American during these hard times.

I couldn't pass my physical in 1963 so I didn't serve either, but my brother passed his the following year in 1964 and was killed in action in Southeast Asia in March of 1965. I visit my brother every Memorial Day in Prescott AZ at the Veterans Cemetery. Please, lest we never forget the sacrifices our sons and brothers gave.
