Barry,

the 1/2 moon cut with 2 3/8ths holes bolt right onto the header flange, the rubber grommets and chrome washers from the stock setup , attach to the stock mount on the frame. This is a prototype , and is working well. I will not be able to get to the drivers side until after growing season, Dave

Here's the finishing touches to the pass side ,from the bottom. The engine mount stabilizer bar with fabbed up one that attched to header flange. Seems to work fine, maybe even a little stiffer than stock.

I think there would be a market for this. I wonder how it would work for trucks? Should have plenty of clearance I would think.

Any pic's of the drivers side available yet? I was wondering what you have to do to clear the steering shaft.....

This is a great idea and useful for many projects with a tight budget .......

That is pretty interesting. I have wondered about this swap myself.

a little grinding on the bottom of the flange blank , the wires fit fine with clearance. As with any header app. you may have to make a special tool , there is nice room, I would not want to change them ,when they are hot !!!

Good job, Dave.

Royal Oak, Michigan (Four miles north of Detroit, and 12 miles NORTH of Windsor, Canada).  That's right, we're north of Canada.
